ABOUT THE CHOIR
The Boiler House Singers have been going for ten years, under the direction of Tara Creme, a composer and conductor who arranges much of the music for the choir. Members are all ages and anybody is welcome to join.
We sing a wide variety of music - country, folk, pop, classical. Our last concert for example included Rhianna's Diamonds, Creedence Clearwater Revival's Have you ever seen the rain? Nick Cave's Ship Song and a Georgian hymn among many others. Full song list on repertoire page.
We perform a few concerts a year, usually informal and always hugely enjoyable occasions, featuring musician friends and audience singalongs.
As well as our regular Christmas and Summer concerts in local venues, we have taken part in a number of other events over the years, for example; Abney Park chapel; Sing Up festival at the South Bank; York Rise Street Festival; performing new music as a choir in the Tower Theatre's King Charles III production..
We are busy rehearsing for our 10th anniversary concert, at the beautiful Old Church, Stoke Newington on March 26th. Tickets available here.
